This course is specifically designed to cater for people with little to no previous experience in the development industry in Queensland. The course is designed to give an overview of the development process and how to undertake a development in Queensland.
The Property Development Essentials course is especially structured to suit individuals interested in learning about the development industry and, in particular, how to successfully undertake a property development. The course provides participants with basic knowledge and tools for identifying critical issues and development processes required when developing property for profit.
The program is structured to systematically lead participants through all development steps for a successful project. Commencing with an overview of taxation issues; identifying suitable development sites; knowing the acquisition options; conceptualising the project; analysing project funding options; working up the feasibility analysis and budgets; gaining town planning approvals; project managing the development; and finally marketing and selling the development.
In addition to teaching participants the development process, the course aims to equip the prospective developer with an understanding of which consultants are required for the project and the extent of their involvement. This understanding is critical to achieving time frames, working within budgets and making a development profit.
